Fitness: a terrifying concept for many; myself included. I had tried working out before, with minimal to zero success. Training with a personal trainer? No way! That was only for super fit people. Plus, trainers are scary. I’m glad I decided to face my fears and begin my fitness journey in May of 2019. Dylan is my trainer and I could not have asked for a more compassionate, dedicated, knowledgeable, approachable and fun guide through this process. Through Dylan, I have learned that fitness is accessible and possible for ANYONE willing to consistently commit to their health and wellbeing. In 18 months of training with Dylan (3-4 hours/week) and making sensible nutrition choices, I have lost 55 pounds and gained a lifelong commitment to fitness I never thought was possible.

I met Dylan in June 2020. To be honest I was in a low point in my life. I was suffering from postpartum depression and I had just lost my job due to Covid. I weighed 180 lbs and I am only 5’4”. I wanted to change how I felt about myself so I started his program. “Death by Dylan” has become a common nickname for the type of workout you get. It’s simple movements (nothing too hard) but placed in the right combination to get heart rate up and really put in work. While exercising you question if you’ll make it until the end, but then afterwards you have a sense of accomplishment and a rush of endorphins. Typically workouts with an Apple Watch I track a calorie burn of 500-600calories in an hour workout with warm up and cool down included. Each workout truly pushes you. It’s a love/hate relationship but has also made me spoiled and not as a fan of some other workouts. I feel like they don’t push me as hard or are as effective as I know they could be.

It’s incredibly difficult for me to sum up everything positive Dylan has brought into my life through my fitness journey without writing a novel. I’ve been training with Dylan for a little over 3 years now consistently and I can honestly say it’s been one of the best things I’ve done since graduating college. I started working out with a friend doing group camps, and was skeptical about the type of workout I would get in a group setting. Luckily, the trainer I chose at random was Dylan. On my second workout I knew that he was a genuine trainer whose focus is on his people.
